The British cut flower growing season here in Shropshire runs between April and October.
In the run up to when my flowers hit the market, I am sowing seeds, digging over beds and manure heaps and planning what flowers I intend to grow for the coming year.
At the beginning of the season my greenhouses are full of seedlings and the garden is coming alive with re-emerging plants. This is a very busy time of year as my success at this stage dictates what I am able to produce throughout the year.
As the majority of my plants and flowers are grown with no cover, the weather plays a very big part of when they are ready to be cut.
Spring is on it's way - watch this space!
With Spring on it's way I am very busy in the potting shed garden planting up seeds. In the greenhouses bulbs are emerging ready to make beautiful Spring time decorations to really bring your home or office space to life.
I will be selling these at Moor Farm Shop from the end of February. Watch this space and get in touch if you have a project in mind.
